(Musical)
[title of show] is a musical about making a musical. Is it crazy?! Not for the artist and dreamer in every one of us! Join Jeff and Hunter as they set out to write an original musical. With the support of their friends Heidi and Susan, four chairs, and a keyboard, the group has three weeks to come up with an original script and libretto to submit to the new musical festival. In the span of 90 minutes, they write and perform their show at the festival and learn lessons about themselves as people, friends and artists.
[title of show] is not your standard musical. This five person, one act musical, is set in New York City and is meant to be performed in a minimalist style (literally four chairs and a keyboard). At its core, the show is a love letter to art, theater, creators, friends, and artistic collaboration. The show explores the themes of trial and error, friendship, self-doubt, artistic integrity, success, and what it means to adhere to your personal values.
