Beginner/Intermediate Musical Theatre Jazz
Did you take dance as a kid, only to drop it when it became uncool? Or are you a novice, lost every time there's a dance audition? Become more comfortable with dance in general and your body specifically with the Musical Theatre Jazz Class, taught by PTP member Ben Simpson (choreographer for "The Sound of Music" and the upcoming "Fiddler on the Roof.") The class will feature choreography from Broadway classics like "West Side Story," "Dreamgirls" and "Chicago," as well as original workouts utilizing cardio, stretching, center and across the floor technique. If there's an audition in your future--or even if you are just looking for a fun, competitive workout--this is the class for you.
When: 4 sessions Wednesdays May 1, 8, 15, and 22
Time: 7-8:30pm
Location: PTP rehearsal hall
Who: 13-adult (class size limited to 20) If there is interest for more than those sessions I can accommodate
Attire: Comfortable work out clothes. Preferably jazz shoes or dance sneakers (www.discountdance.com)
